About Meg Meg Brown — author, cancer survivor, and celebrated speaker — tells the
passionate, remarkable and spellbinding story of how she overcame a
life-and-death battle with cancer — turning devastation and adversity into an
uplifting, life-transforming experience with dignity and grace as she reveals
her secrets of surviving a nearly fatal bout with non-Hodgkin's
lymphoma.
Beginning in February 2002, Meg endured over 100
days in hospitals undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Then in November, she
had a peripheral blood stem cell transplant, one of the toughest medical
procedures to withstand.
In May 2003, this articulate and charming young woman began to share her
emotional message — what it taught her, and how being a cancer survivor is part
of the woman she is now.
With her honest and sincere approach, Meg reports her compelling anecdotes of
courage and perseverance to thousands of people. Her audiences learn her secrets
and valuable skills that helped her survive and thrive in the midst of hardship;
and she challenges them to examine their own lives for those skills.
Meg has been invited to and has graciously told her story of hope and triumph at
many venues across the country, including events benefiting The Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society and The American Cancer Society.
Noted for her enthusiasm and humor, Meg is an
exceptional role model to countless people. In her talks, she holds her audience
